Our relationships have a large impact on our wellbeing. When you feel unhappy about something in a relationship, or are holding onto anger, it really only serves to make you feel worse. This will decrease your own personal wellbeing and make it more likely you will get off track and lose sight of personal goals.

- Make the first interaction of the day a happy one.
- Remind yourself of the positives this person brings to your life.
- Don’t expect anyone to provide you with everything you need.
Holding onto grudges really does no good. If the relationship is unhealthy, choose to end it. If not, and you can find the positives, practice forgiveness and move on. Holding onto grudges is the same as holding onto anger – and you are only hurting yourself. Listen to those people you have relationships with, pull out the positives, and respect and admire each person for who they are as individuals. And remember, no one but you can fully bring you happiness, so don’t waste time getting mad at someone else for not meeting all of your needs!
The better your relationship health, the better your own health – so this is something to work on! Often all it really takes is a change in your own perspective, rather than wasting time trying to change the other person!
