When your partner is not supportive.

Relationships pose large concern when it comes to changing your lifestyle. Some relationships will be supportive, and some may actually work to sabotage your efforts. Romantic relationships are especially difficult, because this is the person you are closest too and want to support you! Unfortunately, the support you are seeking may not always be there.

Remember not to push your partner to make changes at the same pace as you, he or she may not be ready or even want those same goals. And, don’t forget to make time for your partner! Sometimes we get so caught up in our own goals, such as weight loss, we forget to nurture the other things that are important in life, like our relationships.

Communication, understanding and asserting your needs, and patience are key!
