Plyometric exercises are a great way to add something different to your routine. I love the efficiency of gaining strength while achieving a good calorie burn! It is important to listen to the beginner recommendations when starting plyometrics to avoid injury! I was out for quite a bit last summer when I added in plyometric exercises again after not doing them for a while – and did too much too fast! I am nursing a pretty severe injury over the past few weeks, really impacting my day-to-day, not just my exercise – so a reminder to be careful and not push too hard too fast! Start slow and you will get there! Build over time for the best and longest lasting results.
