YAY! Another FitPsychology GIVEAWAY!

I love doing these giveaways, they give me such pleasure and this time it’s even better as the owner of DYRA is a friend of my sons! Randy is a 19 year entrepeneur, starting his company out of his home 6 short months ago and he uses a trailor to sell his T’s and Hoodies at skateboard parks and meets, BMX tracks and of course he takes online orders through his website. Extreme sports are huge now and Randy is becoming well known for his product that symbolizes the wheels of a skateboard, a BMX bike and a mountain bike in his logo.

The name DYRA is a combination of his first and last name. Randy started the company selling to his friends. He’s also a talented extreme cyclist too so he knows the market he is targetting. Enjoy this video for an adrenaline rush: DYRA

If you’re the parent of teens or know teens/young adults in your circle of friends and family you will want to show them this company especially his facebook page as it has some awesome extreme sport pics and videos uploaded that are intense. I really love my tee, it is fitted at the waist just the way us gals like them, it’s a little longer than average so more coverage when wearing low rise jeans and it is a nice rich color too. :) I will say though, that the tees are made small…I usually buy small but here I am wearing a medium and it just fits so keep this in mind when ordering. ;)

Pure Designs for Living Giveaway WINNERS

I loved all the responses for this giveaway and it was hard to pick just one for each!

The power a word can hold over us is immense and this is why I continue to encourage all of you here and on my FB page to use positive words to stomp out the negative ones. Choose a word today that either describes you or describes how you want to ‘be’. Use that word everyday in a silent sentence to yourself, like a mantra, to give you a boost of confidence.

I chose ‘strong’ and my mantra is “I am strong and I will use this strength to resist negativity from taking over my thoughts”

Another FitPsychology GIVEAWAY!

Ok folks, finally the giveaway is here. :)

I was sent 3 inspiring bracelets from Jennifer at Pure Designs for Living. (Visit her website here.) I first saw these cute bracelets on a few Facebook pages and thought they would be a great giveaway for you, my faithful subscribers. :)

I love the use of the Lotus Flower on the back side of the tablet. Lotuses are the symbol of purity, hence the ‘Pure’ in the company name. :)

After browsing around the website I am convinced Jennifer means it when she states: the “core ideology would be the genesis of an ever-growing line of products that have been created with these intentions:

There are many other products to buy on the site, not just the bracelets but I must admit I am hooked on the inspiration that oozes from the simple yet powerful words Jennifer has chosen. We all know words have a tremendous power…power to do harm, power to ruin but on the flip side words also have the POWER to INSPIRE. I choose to see inspiration in words and it seems Jennifer has created a niche for herself that is at once simple yet complex.

I chose to keep “I am Strong” as ‘strong’ has a special meaning to me with the strength I have needed in the last 20+ months. Strong to me is not only stoic but also a word I use when I cry or get emotional. It takes a tremendous amount of “strong” to be vunerable.
Strong to me also means strong in body through exercise and strong in mind through positive thoughts and actions. :)

It’s a Nathan Giveaway!!!

It’s GIVEAWAY time at FitPsychology again! This time the awesome folks at NathanSports sent me two handheld water bottles, one to review and one to giveaway to one of you!

I already owned the Nathan Trail Mix Fuel Belt so I was already a tremendous fan of the company! I don’t usually run without it!

I really hesitated at trying the hand-held QuickShot Plus as I really dislike holding anything in my hand while running. This is the reason I bought the belt in the first place. It allows me to run free, carry my phone, emergency money and my ipod.  :)  But wait…back up…this is a not a review of the belt lol. (Although I highly recommend it)

This past Sunday I finally decided it was high time I put on my big girl pants and try the Quickshot Plus. The Plus is for the added pocket feature on the palm side. This is awesome for a key, change and cell phone although my Blackberry did not fit in this pocket :( .

There is also a pocket on the hand band with a waterproof ID/emergency card attached, to write your emergency contact info and name.

I filled up the 10oz, BPA free water bottle and headed out to the beach for a nice 5K run. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that carrying the Quickshot was not cumbersome or bothersome…two issues I was sure I would experience. :) The hand strap is adjustable so you can fit it snugly onto your hand and it stays put even if you release your grasp on the bottle! This allows you to keep your hand completely relaxed and not have to think about dropping the bottle or it slipping around, distracting you from your purpose…to have an awesome run!.

Another feature I liked is the spout on the bottle, which is different from the fuel belt bottles. There’s no top to pull out so you can just lift and sip on the run whereas with my other bottles I usually stop and take a sip…oh wait…that’s just an excuse to stop and catch my breath! Nevermind, the spout feature is convenient!

I now have 2 options to choose from, the handheld for shorter runs and the Trail Belt for my longer runs or when I want to bring extras along like a snack. ;) I honestly set out thinking there was no way I could use a handheld and now I am a total convert!
